By Staff | Feb 6, 2015

Felicia Fehr is a junior at West Bend-Mallard High School and the daughter of Byron and Anita Fehr, of Whittemore. She is a member of the Hawkeye FFA Chapter.

1.) Why FFA?:

It sounded like fun and I wanted to be more involved in agriculture.

2.) FFA project:

My FFA project is working at Green Gables Landscaping. I do a variety of things from helping in the house with chores and watching the kids to being out in the greenhouse and taking care of the plants and general pick up and cleaning up of the yard and around the greenhouse. Sometimes I even help with the chicken chores.

3.) I’ve learned:

So far I have learned about soils and leadership. I have met many new people and have had a chance to learn more about myself and my skills in being a leader.

4.) Career path:

My goal is to become a surgical technician and FFA hasn’t helped me a whole lot yet, but maybe down the road it will.

5.) College plans:

My plans are undecided. I know that I want to be a surgical tech, but I don’t know what college I want to attend yet.

6.) FFA activities:

I have been involved in many local chapter activities like fruit sales, helping at the Chili-Oyster Supper, Member Service Auction, attending meetings, keeping SAE records, and attending the state convention. I also participated in the WLC trip and had a lot of fun and learned a lot. This past year I was part of the district and state soil judging team.
