Kenzie St. Germain

By Staff | Feb 20, 2015

Kenzie St. Germain is a student at Gilbert High School and member of the Gilbert FFA Chapter. She is the daughter of Darin and Alison St. Germainof Gilbert.

1.) Why FFA?:

I am in FFA because I enjoy interacting with people from both my school and different schools. FFA is a great way to get involved in my community and a chance to be a leader.

2.) FFA project:

I have participated in parliamentary procedure. This was a great way to learn the formal way of running an FFA meeting. My team advanced onto districts. I also showed ducks at the state and county fairs. I got a reserve grand champ at both fairs.

3.) I’ve learned:

Through FFA I have learned how to be a leader. As an officer of my chapter it is important to set a good example for underclassmen to follow. I have also learned to be responsible for doing my part for the chapter.

4.) Career path:

After high school I plan to attend college to become either a doctor or a veterinarian. FFA has helped sway me towards being an animal vet because it has some of the health aspects that a doctor has, but also ties back into agriculture.

5.) College plans:

I plan to attend either the University of Iowa or the University of Minnesota. Both of these schools have strong medical programs that I would like to participate in.

6.) FFA activities:

I participate in many activities within our chapter. I help out in our community garden and participate in leadership events. I have also worked on our chapter display board for state convention.
