To the editor:

Thanks for your story on milk prices protested by dairy producers.

Maybe if more people were aware that as more and more farmers are forced out of business by our government, we are going to become more dependent on foreign imports for our dairy products.

As for anyone who thinks we are just complainers, I invite any of them to come and work on my farm for one week without pay. They would then see that it’s hard work and that we deserve to get paid for it.

We are going on six consecutive months of being in the negative. How long would other people go without getting a paycheck?

Please continue to follow senate bill 889. If you have any ideas as to how the little guy can help get it passed, I would love to hear them and pass them along.
