ICCC hosts FFA soil contest
The Iowa Central Agricultural Program hosted on Oct. 6 the North Central Iowa District FFA Soil Judging event and Greenhand Fire Up workshop.
The soil judging event was held on the Webster County Farm, which the Iowa Central Agricultural Students farm and manage. The Greenhand Fire Up workshop was held on the ICCC campus in the Carrier Education Building in Fort Dodge.
The top five soil judging teams advance to state judging contests in Ames. The top five teams include AGWSR, Nashua-Plainfield, Humboldt, Prairie Valley and Osage.
There were 420 total students from 22 different schools in attendance. There were 180 soil judging contestants on 45 teams and 240 Greenhands.
