Head ’em up! move ’em out!
Randy and Patty Oswald, of Fertile, in Worth County, held their annual cattle drive last Sunday, moving 75 head of bred heifers and cow-calf pairs about three miles west to the Oswald farm from where the cattle had been on pasture since mid-May. They were assisted by 10 riders on horseback – friends and neighbors who help every year. The Oswalds usually do this in October when the crops are removed as they travel cross country. This year they had to wait until November because of the late harvest.
