There will be a meeting on Thursday at the Starlite Village Best Western, junction of U.S. Highway 169 and Iowa Highway 7, in Fort Dodge, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., to answer questions on the letters that were sent out to farmers requesting repayment for corn they sold to VeraSun.

Producers and cooperatives that received letters from VeraSun requesting repayment for corn they sold to the company in fall 2008 should contact an attorney familiar with the bankruptcy code before they respond, suggests the Iowa State University Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation.

The meeting is co-sponsored by Iowa State University Extension and the Iowa Corn Growers Association.
