Burn ban still in effect in Webster County

By Staff | Oct 19, 2011

According to Tony Jorgenson, director of Webster County Emergency Management, the Burn Ban in Webster County is still in effect until further notice.

Due to continued high winds and little chance of heavy rain, conditions are still ripe for wildland and crop fires, Jorgenson said.

There were at least three crop fires last Saturday in the county.

When the fire chiefs of Webster County think conditions are safe, the burn ban will be lifted, and all media outlets will be informed, Jorgenson said.
