FORT DODGE – The Webster County Fairgrounds was the site on Jan. 15 of the second Elevator Safety Day for NEW Cooperative employees.
Professionals from four companies were on hand to simulate real-life situations that could place grain elevator operations employees in danger.
NEW Cooperative’s employees were taught how to help prevent grain bin explosions through preventative housekeeping and maintenance, live line electricity safety, and the importance of fall protection and safety equipment.
NEW Cooperative Inc is a member-owned cooperative with 22 locations throughout the Northwest region of Iowa.
