Seed treatment course scheduled for Feb. 27

FORT DODGE – Webster County will host a Seed Treatment Continuing Instructional Course for commercial pesticide applicators from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Feb. 27.

The program will be shown at locations across Iowa through the Iowa State University Extension Pest Management and the Environment program.

The local attendance site is the Webster County Extension office. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The registration fee is $35 on or before Feb. 20 and $45 after Feb. 20. To register or to obtain additional information about the CIC, contact Ally Zagers at the ISU Extension office in Webster County by calling (515 576-2119.

The course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 4 and 10. Topics to be covered include safe handling and storage of pesticides and PPE; pests, pest management, and pesticides; laws and regulations; and pesticide stewardship.

Certified Crop Advisor Continuing Education Units will be availabale. Participants should bring their CCA number to the program.
