Energy Panel Structures expands with purchase
GRAETTINGER – Energy Panel Structures Inc., of Graettinger, has purchased Fingerlakes Construction Co. with corporate offices in Clyde, New York. The Fingerlakes manufacturing division and personnel will remain in Clyde with plans to add the broad line of EPS products to enhance the growth of that facility.
Fingerlakes is the number one post frame builder in New York State. They manufacture complete building packages for a wide range of construction including personal garages, commercial office complexes, municipal, equestrian, agricultural, dairy facilities, post frame buildings and many other building types.
There is also a construction division with company crews to assure quality construction of the building packages.
“Both companies have a history of success in the building industry,” said Chris Spaeth, vice president of sales and marketing for EPS. “Fingerlakes fits perfectly with the existing EPS product lines.
“The New York location will allow us to strengthen our dealer network and distribution in the east. This will allow us to service additional states from New England to Virginia as we continue to provide services from one of the largest independent dealer networks in the country.”
Along with headquarters in Graettinger, EPS has a manufacturing and construction division in Perryville, Mo. With 175 employees at those locations, EPS had revenues in 2012 of over $75 million.
EPS was established in 1981 as a subsidiary of MacArthur Co. EPS is an employee-owned company that serves the upper U.S. from Montana to New England with a dealer network of more than 350 independent authorized dealers. EPS manufactures products for ENERGY STAR homes and is known for a diverse market of products including residential, agricultural, commercial, food processing and structural insulated panel systems.
