Just a short note to let you know how much I enjoy Jerry Nelson’s weekly column in the Farm News.

I’m not a farmer, but they pay my salary. I’m an insurance agent in Traer, 20 miles south of Waterloo-Cedar Falls.

I subscribe to the Farm News for the three columns each week on the editorial page.

Anyway. I do get behind reading them, so I caught up with Nelson’s Signs of Spring (March 22) column. Unfortunately, what a prediction he made.

Most of Iowa got snow last weekend in varying amounts.

But the reason I write and tip my hat to Nelson that I laughed out loud at the conclusion of the article. basking robins – hilarious.

Thanks for the laugh during my noon hour lunch.
