Corn stover harvest meeting set July 9 to supply DuPont plant
IOWA FALLS – A corn stover harvest meeting will be held from 12:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., on July 9 at the Hubbard Golf and Recreation Club Iowa Falls.
A lunch will be served at noon.
New opportunities exist for harvesting corn stover in support of central Iowa cellulosic ethanol plant biomass feedstock needs.
The meeting will address positives and negatives of corn stover harvesting and how it can be managed in central Iowa.
The meeting is designed for crop producers, land owners, crop consultants, agronomists and service providers.
The noon lunch and meeting are free.
The meeting is sponsored by Iowa State University Extension and supported in part by a grant from the Iowa Energy Center.
DuPont-Pioneer is providing lunch.
Registration is required and limited to the first 100 registrants.
