Open house set for farms new solar array

EXIRA — On Tuesday, Wind and Solar Specialists will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for A&M Jensen Farms Ltd. at 3091 Falcon Ave. in, Exira in recognition of its investment in a newly installed 35.7 kilowatt solar array that will provide renewable energy for their farming operation.

The honored guests will be Alan and Maureen Jensen. The event will give them the opportunity to showcase their newly completed solar project to friends, vendors, colleagues, state and federal political representatives, media and general public.

The event also allows attendees a chance to tour the project and learn more about investing in renewable energy for their own business and/or personal energy consumption.

Rob Hach, president of Wind and Solar Specialists stated, “It is a great honor to be able to provide a turnkey service of installing renewable energy projects for Iowa businesses and farmers who are willing to invest in their own energy future like Alan and Maureen.”

The general public, farm owners, businesses, state and local political representatives, and the media are all invited to attend the event to be held at 2:00 P. M. to 3:30 P. M., Tuesday at A & M Jensen Farms Ltd., 3091 Falcon Avenue, Exira.

The agenda for the event includes ribbon cutting, tour of project and a question and answer session.
