Ag outlook seminar set
ALTOONA – Iowa State University Extension will host an ag outlook and management seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m on Nov. 15 at 1625 Adventureland Drive-Suite A, in Altoona. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.
This seminar will provide agribusiness leaders with a concise evaluation of current market conditions as well as expected trends in crop and livestock prices and income potential.
In addition, the potential new farm program and economic implications will be discussed.
Speakers include ISU Extension field specialists Chad Hart, Steve Johnson, Shane Ellis and Roger McEowen.
The afternoon session is the 2013 Farm Income Tax Seminar with McEowen, director of the Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation at ISU; and Charles Brown, president of AgriFinancial Services LLC.
The Altoona site will also be the host for the statewide webinar broadcast, which is sponsored by Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.
The registration fee for the day is $35 per person or $50 per couple. That amount is payable at the day at the door at 8:30 a.m. the day of the seminar.
The first session begins at 9 a.m. This fee includes a catered lunch, refreshments and all training materials.
