1.) Why FFA?:
I am involved in FFA because I like to be involved in the farm and other agriculture activities. I also like to meet new people and learn new things.
2.) FFA project:
My SAE project is working at Bomgaars in Ida Grove. I also raise six calves for market each year.
3.) I’ve learned:
I have had many different agricultural opportunities and these have gotten me interested in agriculture as a future. I have also learned a lot about leadership and working as a team.
4.) Career path:
I think I will probably pursue a career in ag business and in veterinary technician. I would like to open my own vet clinic some day.
5.) College plans:
I plan to go to Kirkwood College and major in ag business and vet tech. FFA has opened so many possibilities and given me many ideas about my future.
6.) FFA acvtivities:
Parliamentary Procedure team, National FFA Convention, State FFA Convention, Livestock Judging Team, Horse Judging Team, District Officer Leadership Camp, and the Farm Safety Day sponsored by the Ida County Farm Bureau
I AM Ag sponsored by Sac County Farm Bureau
I have also been involved in several community service events for FFA like Concession stands, Soup Suppers and the Hultrgren Combine Clinic.
