Savannah Luscombe is a senior and FFA member at Odebolt-Arthur/Battle Creek-Ida Grove High School and the daughter of Lonnie and Amelia Luscombe of Battle Creek.
1.) Why FFA?:
I am involved in FFA because I like being involved with the competitions and just being involved in something that will be in the future.
Also it helps our community. FFA gives me the opportunity to not only learn more about agriculture but also hang out with those that have the same passion for ag.
2.) FFA project:
3.) I’ve learned:
I learned how to work with a group (social skills) and it also helps with motivation I think.
When working with 50-plus other members it is vital to work as a team to get a task accomplished.
FFA gives us all the opportunity to work in groups to accomplish a common goal.
FFA motivates me to better myself and help my community.
4.) Career path:
I plan on going into nursing. FFA has given me the skills needed to be successful in college, a career, and life.
5.) College plans:
I plan on going to a community colllege in Iowa and maybe then move on to a four-year university.
I want to be a registered nurse and maybe eventually a doctor.
6.) FFA acvtivities:
I went to National Convention my sophomore year. I also did soil judging and I try to be involved as much as I can.
I have helped with fruit sales, our annual soup supper, as well as some of our many volunteer opportunities through FFA.
