1.) Why FFA?:
I am involved in FFA because I love nature and animals, but also because without agriculture, no one would be alive.
2.) FFA project:
For my project, I have done a vegetable garden. I enjoy gardening because it is a good way to be able to provide for your family and back in the day, that was the only way people would attain food.
3.) I’ve learned:
I have learned through FFA that I do have the ability to get up in front of a crowd and give a speech and also that every FFA member can become your friend.
4.) Career path:
I would like to go into criminology after high school and believe it or not, FFA has helped. I have greatly improved my leadership skills and am not afraid to talk in front of people. I am able to voice my opinion, which is needed in my career field.
5.) College plans:
I do not know what college I would like to attend yet. I have looked around but I still haven’t found the right one that offers the best criminology courses.
6.) FFA acvtivities:
I attended National Convention in 2011 and State Convention in 2012 and 2013; I actually advanced to State this year in Public Speaking. I have competed in Creed Speaking, the Chapter test, the Greenhand test, and Public Speaking as well.
I help every year with the Buena Vista Ag Citing Days and Farm Safety Days, Veteran’s Day Assembly, FFA Week, and Fall Fundraiser.
