ISU field crop scout school set Saturday

AMES – Iowa State University Extension will offer a field crop scout school on from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Saturday in the Scheman Continuing Education Building on the ISU campus.

The school is designed for beginning crop scouts. The day-long course features workshops on crop growth and development, weed, disease and insect identification, non-pest crop injuries and scouting methods and techniques.

The cost of registration is $100 and limited to 150 participants.

Registration must be completed by midnight, Feb. 28.

Registrations will not be accepted at the door.

The registration fee includes the field guide, course handouts, lunch and refreshments during breaks.
