TANNER HEMER

By Staff | Apr 2, 2014

Tanner Hemer, is a junior at Odebolt-Arthur/Battle Creek-Ida Grove High School and the son of Don and Tami Hemer, of Arthur. He is the treasurer of his FFA chapter

1.) Why FFA?:

To be a leader and also get involved in whatever it may be through schools or in the community. Volunteering in the community is a great way to help those around us while teaching me life long skills.

2.) FFA project:

I have no project.

3.) I’ve learned:

How to demonstrate leadership in and out of the classroom and promote getting people involved with the FFA.

As an officer it is my responsibility to encourage our younger members to get involved and go above and beyond.

I am the treasurer for the OA-BCIG FFA which requires lots of responsibility to help with incoming and outgoing expenses.

4.) Career path:

Medical or engineering, but FFA helps you with any career path by introducing you to new things and also new people. By interacting in such a way throughout FFA it will help anyone down the road in whatever career path they may choose.

5.) College plans:

Attend a four-year college and get a degree in either physical therapy or some type of engineering.

6.) FFA activities:

I have helped with fruit sales, our annual soup supper, ag safety day, district contests, and driving a tractor during FFA week.
