‘Eat Your Herbs’ workshop set
To get knowledge and know how to grow and cook with one’s own herbs, a workshop has been set for 6 p.m., May 13, at the Sac County Iowa State university Extension office.
Freshly harvested herbs have pungent and aromatic qualities that are valued for their flavor, fragrance, and medicinal uses.
They require little space and care. Learn about popular herbs, their culinary uses, and health benefits gained by using herbs in daily meals.
Holly Van Heel, an ISU Extension nutrition and health specialist, will lead the workshop that includes snacks.
To reserve a spot, contact the Extension office at (712) 662-7131.
