New farm bill programs meeting set
ADEL – Iowa State University Extension in Dallas County is coordinating a crop marketing strategies and the new farm program meeting in Adel at 7 p.m. on June 16 at ADM High School Commons, 801 Nile Kinnick Drive S. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
“This meeting is designed to help farmers, landowners and other agri-business professionals with current issues related to marketing 2014 crops and pending enrollment decisions in the new farm program,” said Steve Johnson, ISU Extension farm and business management specialist.
Topics include:
(A). Crop price outlook.
(B). Selling insurance bushels.
(C). ARC and PLC overview.
(D). Base acreage reallocation.
The meeting will last approximately 2.5 hours and will be facilitated by Johnson.
No registration fee is required and the meeting is open to the public. Drinks and a snack will be served.
