The schedule for the open swine show at the World Pork Expo, held at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.

The schedule includes:

MONDAY

A). Noon: The earliest entries may arrive.

B). 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Junior show registration and declaration of market-entry weights (on east side of swine barn).

C). 4 p.m.: First annual stock show

TUESDAY

D). 7:30 p.m. to 10 a.m.: Junior show registration and declaration of market-entry weights (on east side of swine barn).

E). 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Open show registration in office inside swine barn.

F). 9 a.m.: All WPX Junior National entries must be on grounds.

G). 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Youth PQA-Plus certification.

H). 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Adult PQA-Plus certification.

I). Noon: Barrow and crossbred gilt eight cards due at the registration area.

J). 1 p.m.: Mandatory exhibitor meeting in ring A.

K). 2 p.m.: Showmanship – Ring A for novice followed by junior; and Ring B for Intermediates followed by seniors.

WEDNESDAY

L). 7 p.m. to 7:45 a.m.: Inspirational service with Ray Perryman in Ring A.

M). 8 a.m.: Purebred barrow show – Ring A: Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace and Yorkshire; Ring B: Berkshire, Chester White, Poland and Spot.

Immediately following the selection of the Champion Purebred Barrow in Ring A will be the Crossbred Barrow Show in Ring A.

N). 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Open Show registration registration in office inside swine barn.

THURSDAY

O). 8 a.m.: Purebred Gilt Show – Ring A: Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace and Yorkshire Ring B: Berkshire, Chester White, Poland and Spot.

Immediately following the selection of the Team Purebred Champion Gilt in Ring B will be the Crossbred Breeding Gilt Show in Ring B

P). 8 a.m.: All Open Show animals must be on grounds.

Q). 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Open Show registration registration in office inside swine barn.

R). 8:30 a.m.: Scanning of Open Show boars (on east side of swine barn).

FRIDAY

S). 7:30 a.m.: Open Show: Yorkshire boar and gilt show, followed by Landrace, Duroc, Hampshire, Crossbred boars and gilts, all in Ring A.

T). 8 a.m.: Open Show: Berkshire show, followed by Spot, Poland and Chester, all in Ring B.

U). 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.: Judging contest registration in the cattle barn.

V). 10 a.m.: Judging contest in the cattle barn.

X). 12:30 p.m.: Novice judging contest in the cattle barn.

Y). 4 p.m.: Awards ceremony in Ring B.

All WPX Junior National hogs are released after the awards ceremony, but are encouraged to stay through Saturday for the WPX Sale.

SATURDAY

Z). 9 a.m.: Open Sale: Yorkshire boar and gilt sale, followed by Landrace, Duroc, Hampshire, Crossbred boars and gilts, allin Ring A.

AA). 9:30 a.m.: Open Sale: Berkshire sale, followed by Spot, Poland and Chester, all in Ring B.
