Farmland lease meetings set
Iowa State University Extension is conducting farmland leasing meetings in 12 different sites across Central Iowa during late-July and August.
Meeting sites within the Farm News coverage area include Boone, Altoona, Nevada, Adel and Marshalltown. They are coordinated by county ISU Extension offices.
A). Boone: From 9 a.m. to noon, July 29 at the Boone County Fairgrounds, 1601 Industrial Park Road, Boone.
B). Altoona: From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., July 30 at the Polk County Extension office, 1625 Adventureland Drive, Suite A, Altoona.
C). Nevada: From 9 a.m. to noon, July 31 at the Story County Extension office, 220 H Ave, Nevada.
D). Adel: From 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 4 in the ADM High School commons area, 801 Nile Kinnick Drive South., Adel
E). Marshalltown: From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m, on Aug. 1 at the Fisher Community Center, 709 S. Center St., Marshalltown.
Pre-registration is required at least two days prior to each meeting and a $20 per individual or $30 per couple fee is payable at the door.
Participants will receive a 100-page booklet and meeting handouts designed to assist landowners, tenants and other agribusiness professionals with issues related to farmland ownership, management and leasing arrangements.
