Northern Research Farm field day set Sept. 4
KANAWHA – The Iowa State University Northern Research Farm field day will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sept. 4, with lunch served at noon.
The research farm is located at 1040 James Ave., Kanawha.
Topics to be covered include Palmer amaranth, waterhemp, soybean cyst management, and an update on the new weather station.
Guest speakers include Elwynn Taylor, ISU Extension climatologist; Bob Hartzler, an ISU Extension weed management specialist; Greg Tylka, an ISU Extension nematologist; Micah Smidt, Northern Research Farm superintendent; and Angie Rieck-Hinz and Paul Kassel, ISU Extension field agronomists.
The program is free, open to the public and pre-registration is not necessary.
