Altoona farmland owners workshop set for Sept. 12
ALTOONA – ISU Extension of Polk County is conducting a farmland owners workshop on and 9 a.m. on Sept. 12 at the Polk County ISU Extension Office at 1625 Adventureland Drive, Suite A, in Altoona.
Participants will learn about:
A). ARC and PLC decisions and timelines, presented by a USDA-FSA representative.
B). Improving 2015 farmland lease agreements, presented by Steve Johnson, an ISU Extension farm management specialist.
C). Understanding CSR2, presented by a USDA-NRCS representative.
The workshop will last until 3 p.m. with lunch by Great Caterers of Iowa.
Pre-registration is required at least two days before the workshop at $35 per individual or $50 per couple, payable at the door.
