Making smart choices in health insurance
ROCK RAPIDS – An increasing number of American citizens and legal residents are expected to enroll or re-enroll in health insurance plans this fall during open enrollment which continues through Feb. 15, 2015.
Research shows the vast majortity of people in the U.S. are uncomfortable, overwhelmed or intimidated when it comes to making decisions about health insurance coverage.
Smart Choice Health Insurance workshops, lead by Iowa State University Extention finance specialists, are set to take place at four northwest Iowa locations as follows:
- Lyon County: From 1p.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 11 at Forster Center, 404 Main St., Rock Rapids.
- Osceola County: 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 16 (snow date set Jan. 23) at Sibley Library, 406 9th St., Sibley.
- Dickinson County:?From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 29 (snow date set Jan 30) at Spirit Lake Library, 702 16th St., Spirit Lake
- O’Brien County:?From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2 (snow date set Feb 3) at O’Brien County Extention office, 340 2nd St. S.E., Primghar.
Some workshops will be held in Spanish.
