NEW Cooperative awards seven scholarships
(NEW) – Seven area students were selected to receive a $2,000 NEW Cooperative scholarship to pursue their college education in an agriculture program.
The scholarships are awarded by the NEW Cooperative Foundation to students who demonstrate outstanding leadership, scholastics and a strong desire to pursue a
career in agriculture.
This year’s local scholarship winners are:
- Matt Aden, son of Brent and Susie Aden, Pocahontas Area Community School.
- Jacob Clark, son of David and Dawn Clark, South Central Calhoun High School.
- Taylor Hintch, daughter of Mark and Marsha Hintch, Fort Dodge Senior High School
- Brett Holtorf, son of Marlyn and Julie Holtorf, Pocahontas Area Community School.
- Jacob Lauver, son of Kevin and Linda Lauver, a junior at Iowa State University. He graduated from Southern Cal High School.
- Tristan Seil, son of Randy and Shari Seil, South Central Calhoun High School.
- Celeste Swanson, daughter of Stuart and Lori Swanson, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School.
