Threshermen to host Hart-Parr Oliver
ALBERT CITY – The Albert City Threshermen and Collectors will host the summer show for the national Hart-Parr Oliver Collectors Association Aug. 7-9. The Iowa Cornbelt Oliver Collectors are the local chapter organizing special activities for the group.
The annual show which is now in its 45th year attracts over 12,000 visitors to the three day event. Special activities planned for this year include:
- Threshermen’s tractor ride.
- FFA petting barn.
- kid’s potato patch.
- Civil War encampment and Cherokee Ridge Runners.
- vintage farm equipment, steam engines and horses working in the fields to demonstrate old-time farming operations.
“The HPOCA has 8,000 members from all over the U.S. organized into 20 chapters,” said Threshermen Director Connie Reinert. “We are looking forward to having a great turn out of exhibitors and guests. And, of course, we are encouraging all area Hart-Parr, Oliver and White enthusiasts to join in our special feature.”
Already, exhibitors have registered from Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois.

In 2016, the Threshermen will feature The Pride of Iowa and Horse Power. Case enthusiasts will convene at the show site in 2017 to celebrate the 175 year anniversary of Case. In 2018, the association will host the national Ford-Fordson Collectors for their summer show.
