1.) Why FFA?:
I am an FFA member because I enjoy agriculture and everything that it has to offer. I get to meet new people and get new learning opportunities. I know FFA will teach me the skills I will need in life.
2.) FFA project:
I have done livestock judging many times and have received second at my county fair twice consecutively and competed at state placing fourth two years ago
I have also gone to state for the greenhand quiz at state and got fifth place and received the star greenhand degree from my chapter.
3.) I’ve learned:
I took a class that my school offers called Intro to Ag. It teaches students about FFA and everything it has to offer.
I have learned public speaking skills and more about the careers I am thinking about going into.
4.) Career path:
I was sure at the beginning of the year that I wanted to be a beef nutritionist, but now I realize food science is fun, too. Now I have more options and realized other things I would like to do.
FFA is helping me to gain more knowledge about the career paths I am thinking about.
5.) College plans:
I am planning on going to Iowa State University or South Dakota State University.
6.) FFA acvtivities:
