Smoke rises Saturday afternoon from a controlled burn at the Sparboe egg production facility at U.S. Highway 169 and 120th Street. The company was burning most of the buildings on the site. According to Badger Fire Capt. Don Ashenfelter, the controlled burn was planned a few months before the avian flu outbreak.
