Dalton Knobloch

Dalton Knobloch is a senior at West Bend-Mallard High School and the son of Denton and Rose Knobloch of West Bend. He is president of the Hawkeye FFA Chapter.

1.) Why FFA?:

I am involved in FFA because it’s a great organization and it’s like a big family. I also want to keep our chapter going and have fun. The things I have learned will help me in life.

2.) FFA project:

My SAE project includes ag production projects like growing corn and soybeans and I have some livestock. These are all things that will help me and I enjoy.

3.) I’ve learned:

I have learned a lot about ag, including soils. I have gained leadership skills and how to be a better leader and to help people.

4.) Career path:

I plan on going back to the farm and farming with my dad. FFA has given me more ag knowledge and communication skills to work with people.

5.) College plans:

I currently do not plan on going on to college. I may go to Iowa Lakes Community College and take some ag classes, but I haven’t decided.

6.) FFA activities:

COLT-officer leadership training, 360 Leadership Conference, farm business management contest, state FFA convention, district and state soil judging contest, local activities like chili-oyster supper, fruit sales, landscaping projects, Farmer Fred activities with the preschoolers, National FFA Week activities with elementary students.
