By Staff | Oct 5, 2015

SAC CITY – Iowa State Extension-Sac County and the ISU Forestry Extension will offer a tree disease, decline workshop from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Oct. 30 at the Sac County Extension office.

Dr. Jesse Randall, Iowa State University Extension forester, will lead the discussion on:

  • Current diseases and environmental issues affecting trees in Iowa.
  • Steps to take when deciding on suitable tree species for northwest Iowa and how to minimize planting issues with new trees.
  • Ways to mitigate construction damage to existing trees.

Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and bring photographs of diseased trees.

There is no charge for the program, but registration is required.
