Ag outlook seminar set in Altoona
ALTOONA Iowa State University Extension will host an Ag Outlook and Management Seminar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Polk County Extension office, 1625 Adventureland Drive-Suite A, in Altoona.
The registration fee for the morning is $35 per person or $50 per couple payable at the door at 8:30 a.m.
The first session on livestock outlook begins at 9 a.m.
This fee includes a catered lunch, refreshments and all training materials.

This program is designed to provide participants with a concise evaluation of current market conditions, expected trends in crop and livestock income potential, and management implications.
Speakers include ISU Extension’s Chad Hart, Lee Schultz, and Steve Johnson.
In the afternoon, this same Altoona site will host a live webinar on 2015 Farm Income Taxes, sponsored by the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.
Presenters include Kristine Tidgren, staff attorney with the ISU Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation, and Charles Brown, Extension farm management specialist.
There is no charge for participation in the afternoon webinar.
Several other locations statewide will host similar ag outlook seminars.
