DOT sets meeting with farmers
STANHOPE – Farmers can learn and ask Iowa Department of Transportation and Iowa Law Enforcement how rules and regulations regarding farm use of vehicles, specialty licensing, SMV and roadway safety are enforced at 6:30 p.m. March 10, at the Stanhope Community Center, 600 Main St., in Stanhope.
Iowa Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Enforcement Department officers will present at the program.
The Hamilton County Farm Bureau urges all farmers to be knowledgeable on regulations and rules that govern agricultural transport and farm equipment.
The meeting is designed for farmers and agricultural producers. A meal will be served at 6 p.m.
Additional topics for discussion will include licensing for agriculture, livestock or commercial hauling, when a CDL is required, special agricultural considerations,
Ranger-ATV farm use and vehicle weights and requirements.
To assist in meal quantities, preregister with the Hamilton County Farm Bureau office at (515) 832-3481 by March 7.
