WCCTA sets annual meeting
GOWRIE – Webster-Calhoun Cooperative Telephone Association set its annual meeting for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Southeast Valley High School gymnasium in Gowrie.
The 2016 theme is “We Have You Covered.”
WCCTA provides a Fiber to the Home network that covers every section of the 16 communities it serves. Within this fiber network, customers are provided landline telephone, Internet and digital television.
Webster-Calhoun has a variety of products and services to help cover all communications needs.
The annual meeting will announce the results of the election of the board of directors. Ballots have been sent out to all members for election for directors whose terms expire.
Candidates are selected by the 2016 nominating committee.
Completed ballot must be delivered to 1106 Beek St. in Gowrie, or placed in the provided postage-paid pink envelope and received prior to midnight ahead of the meeting.
Additional items to be presented to the members during the meeting include updates on services as well as the year in review and goals for the future.
The evening includes refreshments and doughnuts. Door prizes will be drawn from members present at the annual meeting.
This year the door prizes are centered around the “We Have You Covered” theme in addition to the grand prize of a 55-inch smart TV.
“Our members are provided this one-to-one opportunity to meet our staff and board members at the annual meeting,” said Marcie Boerner, WCCTA office manager. “We enjoy celebrating another successful year of service for our members.”
Webster-Calhoun Cooperative Telephone Association serves the communities of Gowrie, Pilot Mound, Vincent, Thor, Churdan, Knierim, Somers, Barnum, Duncombe, Farnhamville, Badger, Clare, Moorland, Boxholm and Lanyon.
