Ag Partners named crop adviser of the year

By Staff | Jul 25, 2016

ALBERT CITY (Ag Partners) – Ag Partners has been named the 2016 Crop Adviser/Entrepreneur of the Year by PrecisionAg Institute.

This prestigious award, now in its 10th year, recognizes outstanding people, programs and organizations that are making a difference in the precision ag industry through its PrecisionAg Awards of Excellence.

Each year’s winners have devoted their careers to the technology that improves crop production stewardship, agronomy and efficiency.

Ag Partners is being honored for its innovation in precision agriculture through its InSiteCDM program – a unique crop data management program that helps producers maximize profits and make more efficient inputs – as well as its leadership in the precision ag arena through its partnerships and forward thinking.

A leader in the industry, Ag Partners started variable rate fertilizer application and crop protection more than 20 years ago, making it some of the first to provide that practice in the area.

“Our agronomy and precision ag departments offer unique and innovative solutions that provide increased customer profitability,” said Troy Upah, Ag Partners chief executive officer.

“We are extremely honored to receive this award, and look forward to further innovation to the precision ag arena.”

A representative from Ag Partners will accept the award at the InfoAg Conference Aug. 2 through 4 in St. Louis, Missouri.
