ROYAL – CommStock Investments, based in Royal, has added another commodity broker, Michael “Mit” Goblirsch, to its team of experts.

“Having Midwestern roots,” said David Kruse, president of CommStock Investments, “Mit joins us after working most recently as a commodity broker in the Norfolk, Nebraska area. Prior to his experience in Nebraska, Mit has had quite an array of experiences.”

Goblirsch is a graduate of West Point Military Academy, was a captain in the artillery corps and played football for the Army team.

He has previously held positions as an international regional director for the U.S. Soybean Export Council, and a regional general manager for U.S. BioEnergy.

Additionally he held leadership positions as vice president of ConAgra Foods in its Global Markets Division, focusing on the Central America and Caribbean Basin areas and also worked a number of years in domestic and international commodities management with Cargill.

According to Kruse, “Mit brings a wealth of experience to the table, especially in terms of a global perspective on the commodity markets, having lived and worked internationally.

“We appreciate this insight as we know our clients will, as we certainly live in a small world anymore and what happens around the world as well as the export demand for our commodity products, does impact the profit potential for what we produce.”
