Financial luncheons set Jan. 11
PRIMGHAR – Iowa State University Extension invites individuals in and around Calhoun, Lyon, O’Brien and Osceola counties to take part in a Financial Winter Cleaning luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 11, 2017.
According to Jan Monahan, an ISUE human sciences specialist in family finance, the program will offer guidelines and strategies for putting a person or family’s financial paperwork in order.
“You know how good it feels when your house is clean,” Monahan asks. “It feels just as good when your financial and business papers are well-organized.”
The noon luncheon will cover multiple topics, according to Monahan.
A). How long to keep records
B). Do you or your family have a place where records are kept?
C). Do you know how to find the safety deposit key or where your will or insurance policy is located?
D). How about attorney’s contact information?
These issues and others will be addressed at the luncheon. The program is open to the public, and the registration fee for the program, including a noon meal, is $5.
Space is limited, and the lunch and materials need to be prepared, so individuals are asked to preregister.
