Seminars listed for 2017 Iowa Power Farming Show
DES MOINES ( INEDA) – Fulfill your quest for knowledge at the Iowa Power Farming Show, presented by Farm Credit Services of America and AgDirect.
Sixteen educational seminars by agriculture and financial experts from organizations such as Iowa State University and the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship are scheduled to take place over all three days of the show.
“Growers come to the Iowa Power Farming Show to learn,” said show director, Tom Junge. “Sure, they want to see big iron and revolutionary precision ag products, which of course they will. But they’ll also have several opportunities to attend educational seminars and gain insight into how to make better financial, agronomic and equipment decisions for their farms.”
It starts Jan. 31, with the seminars “Your Farm Their Future: Proven Legacy Strategies to Weather Any Storm;” “Let’s Talk Water Quality;” “A View From Above: Drones, Cameras and Farming;” “Iowa Climate and Weather: Where We’ve Been, Where We are Now and What Can We Say About the 2017 Growing Season;” “Effective Marketing for the Next Generation;” and “Keeping the Farm Land in the Family: Farm Succession and Transition Strategies.”
Sessions scheduled for Feb. 1st, include “Family Farm Succession Planning,” “Let’s Talk Water Quality,” “New API Diesel Oil Category: What does it mean for Agriculture Equipment?” “Data Driven Decisions: Using UAVs and Variable Rate to Improve Profitability,” “Effective Marketing for the Next Generation,” and “State of the Cattle Industry.”
Sessions conclude Feb. 2 with “Your Farm Their Future: Proven Legacy Strategies to Weather Any Storm,” “Introducing Iowa’s Pest Resistance Management Plan,” “2017 Market Trends” and “Iowa Climate and Weather: Where We’ve Been, Where We Are Now and What Can We Say About the 2017 Growing Season.”
