2018 Show Results

The total attendance for the 48th Annual Threshermen & Collectors Show held west of Albert City on August 10, 11, and 12 was 12,162 people.

According to the association, exhibitors came from all over the United States exhibiting 413 tractors, 63 implements, 148 antique autos and trucks, 23 horses and mules, 17 gas engines, 29 stationery engines, 40 miscellaneous exhibits, 22 military exhibits, 40 garden and yard tractors, plus a wide variety of toy and doll show displays, and many vendors selling toys and farm related items.

Both the Toy Show and Doll Show were held at the Albert City Threshermen and Collectors site during the 48th annual show. In the Doll Show, those displaying were:

– Joe and Karen Wadsley, Odebolt.

– Barb Halligan, Laurens.

– Colleen & David White, Laurens.

– Connie Skou. Marathon .

Raffle tractor winners:

– The winner of the raffle for the Ford 8N Tractor was Ron Dewey of Varina.

– The winner of the raffle for the 1/16 replica of the Ford 8000 was Travis Alexander of Malvern.

– The winner for the wooden replica Ford 8N was Jim Aden of Pomeroy.

Flower Power contest winners:

It wasn’t all farm machinery at the Albert City Threshermen and Collectors Show. Patricia Jameson of Adel makes a broom in the Broom Factory

– Adult bucket: first was Theresa Erickson of Marathon and second place was Denise Huskamp of Newell.

– Adult planter: first was Amy Saunders, Laurens; second place was Berny Schluesener and third place went to Kris Ehlers of Albert City.

– Teen planter: first was Wyatt Erickson of Marathon, second place was Jorden Saunders of Laurens and third place was Jenna Saunders, also of Laurens.

– Youth bucket: first place was Wyatt Huskamp of Albert City.

– Youth planter: first place was Aidan Saunders of Laurens, second place was Joshua Huskamp, Newell and third place was Annie Huskamp of Newell.

Pie contest

The third annual “Bring Your Pie to Church” contest results were:

– First place: Valerie Hogrefe of Albert City; second place was Graham Small of Newell and third place was Denise Huskamp of Newell.
