EMMETSBURG – Educational opportunities, exhibitors and entertainment is all planned for the first Farm News Ag show of 2019.
Scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, the show will be held at Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg and will feature both inside and outside exhibits.
Live music is planned for the show that will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, lunch will be available and served by Iowa Lakes Community College.
The speaker lineup includes David Kruse, Farm News columnist and president of CommStock Investments; Elwynn Taylor, Iowa State University climatologist and Iowa’s Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Naig.
“Our show that we have had for 18 years in Fort Dodge has been extremely successful so we decided to branch out, add a second show and hope to better serve our northwest Iowa readers,” said Dana Lantz, Farm News advertising manager.
Iowa Central Community College, in Fort Dodge, plays a large role with that city’s Farm News Ag Show, which is held each December.
Because of that successful relationship, Lantz said he is looking forward to another successful show with the aid of another ag-based college such as Iowa Lakes Community College.
