Iowa Ag Expo coming soon

Exhibits to fill more than 7 acres indoors

DES MOINES — Tractors of all sizes, massive combines and other kinds of machinery used in modern farming will fill the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines next month for the Iowa Ag Expo.

The expo, known for decades as the Iowa Power Farming Show, will be held Feb. 1-3 in the Events Center at 730 Third St.

Organizers report that there will be nearly700 exhibitors present.

Their displays will fill 7.7 acres on seven floors in three buildings.

Visitors to the Expo will see the latest farm equipment, high tech electronics, and precision agriculture tools. They will also be able to attend seminars on various farming topics.

The Expo will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 1-2. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 3.

Admission is $10, but a reduced price of $5 can be obtained by visiting iowagexpo.com and completing a survey.

Free parking will be available at Principal Park, and a free shuttle will take people from there to the Iowa Events Center.

The Iowa Power Farming Show started in 1910. It was renamed the Iowa Ag Expo in 2020.
