Monthly Dairy Webinar on March 16 to Focus on Incorporating Cover Crops into Your Forage System

ORANGE CITY — The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dairy Team monthly webinar series continues from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16 . The program will focus on the positive impact cover crops and cocktail mixes can have in your forage system.

Gentry Sorenson, a native of north Iowa with a background in industry, research, and farming, will lead the webinar. He earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural studies with a minor in agronomy from Iowa State University in 1997. In 2018, he went on to earn a master’s degree in professional agriculture, also from ISU. Sorenson spent 10 years with DuPont Pioneer (Corteva Agriscience) as a crop research associate and most recently was an agronomist for Landus Cooperative before joining ISU Extension and Outreach in 2021.

Producers, dairy consultants, and industry reps are encouraged to attend the webinar. There is no fee for the program, but preregistration is requested at https://go.iastate.edu/UPLHGN. Attendees should log on before noon as the program will start promptly at 12 noon. There will be a question-and-answer session after the presentation.
