Landus Cooperative had seven trucks running to pick up the corn stored in this ag bag northwest of Lake City and haul the grain to the Landus Cooperative elevator at Yetter, in this Jan. 17 photo. The crew worked with Lake City-area farmer Scott Hicks to empty the bag. Timing was important, because even though the day was bitterly cold and the soil was frozen, a mid-winter thaw was predicted by the end of the week. Hicks reported that the corn came out of the bag at around the same moisture level the grain was when it went into the bag - around 16.5 percent.
